Vizio’s newest 55-inch VF550XVT LCD TV will probably make many consumers want to go out and buy a new television now. Vizio VF550XVT has many fine qualities, such as the Smooth Motion Video 120Hz refresh rate feature and an incorporated sound processor, the SRS TruSurround HD, which creates great audio. Although far from a steal, the $2,000 price is fair, but whether it’s right for you remains to be seen.

The Vizio LCD TV is big enough to use as a real home theater system and it is ideal if you are in the market for the best thin and lightweight flat panel HDTVs. LCD screens are perfect for brightly lit rooms because they do not reflect light. They also use less power and are therefore environment-friendly, a concept so important these days.

Vizio has also announced the debut of a few smaller, lower-power displays and a new monitor, but they can’t hold a candle to the new Vizio 55-inch VF550XVT1A LCD TV, which is not yet available for sale but is slated to be on the Vizio site any day now
